Deprecate old Environment Variables
As part of some cleanup and ongoing improvements, old environment variables such as B1APIKEY & IBPSB1APIKEY are being deprecated.
If scripts are currently configured to use Set-ibPSConfiguration -CSPAPIKey <apikey> or inject API Keys via Environment Variables, these will no longer work.
This should be replaced with Connect-B1Account or New-B1ConnectionProfile for non-persistent/persistent connections respectively.

Breaking Changes

Rename Core Module Files as part of thee Infoblox Rebranding
As part of the rebrand and move away from BloxOne as a name, this update includes a vast amount of changes to align with the new naming.
This includes updating a few core module files, which if not removed during update may cause stability issues.
These files should be removed as part of automated updates, but it is strongly suggested to check they have been removed.

Breaking Changes

Support for ShouldProcess is being added for all state-changing functions, which enables three new parameters. -Confirm, -WhatIf & -Force.
The default PowerShell configuration has $ConfirmPreference set to High. Unless you have changed this, only Remove operations will be impacted by this change.

  • All Set and equivilent update commands are set to ConfirmImpact=Medium.
  • These commands will not prompt for confirmation if $ConfirmPreference is None or High.
  • All New and equivilent new commands are set to ConfirmImpact=Medium.
  • These commands will not prompt for confirmation if $ConfirmPreference is None or High.

Previously, if the -IP parameter was set then the -Name parameter would be used to update the host name.
This functionality is changing to use the -NewName parameter instead.

API Keys Will Need Updating!
API Keys used by ibPS are converting to an encrypted format. After updating to this version, any existing API keys stored on your machine will need to be updated to avoid errors.
This can be done by using Set-ibPSConfiguration -CSPAPIKey <ApiKey>

All BloxOne Threat Defense related functions have been renamed to remove the TD part of the command suffix.
Functions previously using Get-B1TD... Set-B1TD... etc. will now move to Get-B1... and Set-B1....This is to align with the rest of the module.
